TL;DR
Proposal Coordinator (Advanced Manufacturing): Managing complex federal funding proposals for advanced manufacturing programs with an accent on requirements interpretation, document coordination, budgeting, and stakeholder communication. Focus on coordinating multi-party submissions, aligning statements of work with budgets, and tracking proposal status across concurrent deadlines.

Location: 90% remote and 10% in office, with quarterly travel to Knoxville, Tennessee and travel to IACMI events. Candidates must reside in Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Florida, West Virginia, North Carolina, Texas, or Pennsylvania.

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 annually

What you will do

  • Interpret funding opportunities and application requirements, then create document checklists and submission schedules.
  • Collect and review proposal materials for completeness and compliance.
  • Coordinate go/no-go meetings and facilitate meetings with internal teams, partners, and sub-recipients.
  • Work with project finance and project management teams to align budgets with statements of work.
  • Generate proposal status reports, charts, and dashboards for leadership.
  • Track proposals and communicate requirements using Monday.com, SharePoint, contract management systems, Teams, and Zoom.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • At least three years of proposal management and coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal OMB Uniform Guidance, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and granting agency requirements.
  • Experience or familiarity with DOE and Department of War contracts, funding opportunities, cooperative agreements, government agencies, or nonprofit organizations.
  • Strong planning, organization, communication, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple proposals and deadlines.
  • Valid US driver’s license, legal authorization to work in the United States, and availability for at least 10% travel with overnight stays are required.
