Senior Staff RF Test Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. government authorizations.

Salary: $184,000–$225,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and implement engineering test plans, procedures, and reusable RF test architectures.
• Develop test requirements with design and test engineering teams and map requirements to procedures.
• Perform RF measurements and operate laboratory equipment including signal generators, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and vector signal analyzers.
• Automate testing using scripting, test executives, hardware abstraction, and measurement abstraction layers.
• Log and present test results to stakeholders, customers, and executives.
• Manage laboratory equipment and guide equipment purchasing decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
• At least 12 years of industry or university research experience designing, analyzing, and implementing RF test systems.
• High proficiency with RF measurements including linearity, NSD, and EVM.
• Experience with conducted measurements such as S-parameters, AM/PM, compression, noise figure, harmonics and spurious emissions, phase noise, switching speed, bit error rate, adjacent channel power, and group delay.
• Experience designing RF test architectures and working with RF and mixed-signal hardware.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with phased-array over-the-air testing, including calibration, EIRP, G/T, axial ratio, scan loss, and pattern cuts.
• Programming or scripting experience with Python, MATLAB, C, or C++.
