Senior Accountant (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analyses, and supporting schedules for balance sheet accounts.
• Perform revenue, deferred revenue, and accounts receivable reconciliations, including contract balance reviews and cash-to-invoice matching.
• Own key components of the monthly financial close and support accurate financial reporting.
• Support accounts payable operations, NetSuite integrations, data validation, configuration testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Research technical accounting matters, prepare workbooks for complex transactions, and support external financial statement audits.
• Partner with Supply Chain, Facilities, Engineering, and FP&A to improve accounting policies, controls, data quality, and process automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of public accounting experience with a nationally recognized accounting firm.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 and ASC 842, and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end close, financial reconciliations, NetSuite or a comparable ERP, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Access to export-controlled information may require compliance with U.S. Government security clearance, citizenship, or other eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• CPA license or active progress toward CPA certification.
• Operational accounting experience in technology, manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or industrial companies.
• Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, manufacturing environments, external audits, internal controls, automation, and system enhancements.
