Analyst, Data Science and Analytics (AI)

Location: Remote, based in Lagunilla de Heredia, Costa Rica; occasional in-person attendance at work-related events may be required

What you will do

• Complete analytical assignments with guidance and deliver accurate, timely outputs for business decision-making.
• Prepare, analyze, and validate data for data-driven business initiatives.
• Apply statistical and analytical techniques to solve business problems and develop actionable insights.
• Support scalable, repeatable analytical processes while following coding, documentation, and data-quality standards.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to align analytical solutions with organizational goals.
• Document and present findings, recommendations, progress, and blockers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• At least one year of professional experience in data analysis, data science, or a related role.
• Foundational to intermediate proficiency in data analysis, statistical methods, and at least one programming language such as Python or R.
• Foundational to intermediate proficiency in SQL or a similar data-querying language.
• Ability to prepare, analyze, and validate data accurately while following established coding, documentation, and data-quality standards.
• Experience collaborating with teams, communicating progress and blockers, documenting work, and seeking feedback.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
• Exposure to machine learning concepts or data science workflows.
• Familiarity with customer success, fraud prevention, or analytics-driven decision-making.
• Experience using Jira or a similar task-management tool.
• Ability to translate analytical findings into clear recommendations and contribute to knowledge-sharing sessions.
