Technician 3, Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance

Location: Bayan Lepas, Malaysia; onsite work on a media manufacturing production line

What you will do

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs on production equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control-system issues.
• Document preventive maintenance, equipment failures, service history, and related data in maintenance systems.
• Provide input to improve preventive-maintenance cycle time, tool availability, quality, media scrap, and ownership costs.
• Support machine conversions, upgrades, and improvement projects with Tool Owners and Equipment Engineers.
• Train and certify junior technicians.

Requirements

• Diploma or Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronic/Electromechanical, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, especially with vacuum chamber systems, sputtering, or machine maintenance.
• Knowledge of control systems and PLCs, measurement tools, schematics, and system troubleshooting.
• Ability to identify failure mechanisms, determine root causes, and complete repairs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Forum Notes.
• Ability to collaborate with Production, Process, Yield, Quality, and Engineering teams and work independently.
