Location: Deerfield, IL, US preferred; remote work is possible with additional travel to Deerfield, IL. Up to 35% domestic travel and occasional international travel may be required.
Salary: $260,000–$290,000 annually, plus eligibility for a 25% bonus target and long-term incentive plan.

What you will do
- Lead the integrated US medical communications strategy for Multiple System Atrophy and support launch readiness.
- Develop the scientific narrative, clinical value story, key messages, evidence summaries, and communication themes.
- Own publication planning, congress strategy, abstract submissions, presentations, symposia, booth content, and related communications.
- Oversee medical materials, scientific response documents, field medical content, training materials, data visualizations, and digital scientific content.
- Serve as a medical reviewer for promotional materials and ensure scientific, regulatory, legal, and compliance standards.
- Manage agencies, vendors, budgets, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Commercial, HEOR, Regulatory, Patient Advocacy, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Accredited advanced scientific or clinical degree, such as MD, PharmD, PhD, or MS.
- At least 5 years of progressive, non-field-based Medical Affairs experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or supporting agency environments.
- At least 2 years contributing to medical strategy, launch readiness, scientific communications, publication planning, and congress management.
- Experience with clinical trial data, evidence generation, publication practices, medical education, medical content development, and promotional medical review.
- Experience collaborating across functions, influencing without authority, managing multiple priorities, and communicating complex scientific information clearly.
- Authentic rare-disease experience and the ability to work effectively with patient advocacy groups, patients, caregivers, clinicians, and industry stakeholders.
Nice to have
- 8+ years of rare-disease industry experience, including preparation for and launch of a rare-neurology treatment.
- Neurology or movement-disorder specialization with established KOL and advocacy relationships.
- FDA regulatory knowledge.
