Senior Platform Engineer (Kubernetes/EKS)

What you will do

• Build and manage secure, highly available AWS cloud infrastructure with Pulumi.
• Develop and maintain platform technologies, internal tooling, and continuous deployment systems for a Kubernetes-based hosting platform.
• Create networking integrations with customer networks and support development teams running applications on the platform.
• Monitor and tune Java, Python, Go, and TypeScript microservices and troubleshoot production and networking issues using observability tools.
• Update infrastructure components, support SOC 2 compliance, and document systems with diagrams and technical documentation.
• Promote Kubernetes, Docker, and infrastructure best practices across technology teams.

Requirements

• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience with code-generation AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code.
• Production Kubernetes experience at scale, preferably with EKS, plus Docker and Helm expertise.
• Experience with AWS services including IAM, S3, EC2, RDS, ElastiCache, and VPC networking.
• Strong Python and Go skills, Linux shell scripting experience, and familiarity with GitOps and CI systems such as GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Pulumi or Terraform and common security best practices.
• US citizenship is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS EKS and GitHub Actions.
• Experience with Helm chart best practices and Docker multi-stage builds.
