Accounting Manager (SaaS)

Location: Onsite four days per week at an applicable hirify.global office; remote work applies only to roles explicitly marked as remote. Offices are located in San Francisco, New York, Denver, London, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, and Mexico City.

What you will do

• Own revenue accounting under ASC 606, including contract ingestion, revenue schedules, monthly subledgers, journal entries, and contract amendments.
• Manage accounting for renewals, upsells, terminations, material rights, SSP allocations, variable consideration, and other non-standard commercial terms.
• Reconcile revenue, deferred revenue, unbilled accounts receivable, and allowance accounts while performing period-over-period flux analysis.
• Track internally developed software projects under ASC 350-40 and manage capitalized commission amortization under ASC 340-40.
• Standardize accounting workflows and partner with Accounting Systems, Product, Engineering, Revenue Operations, AR/Billing, Deal Desk, FP&A, and Technical Accounting.
• Own external audit deliverables and introduce contract ingestion software, automation, and AI-powered workflows.

Requirements

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience across Big Four or public accounting and high-growth SaaS or technology environments.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 350-40, and ASC 340-40.
• Direct experience with contract modifications, revenue schedules, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Ability to build processes, operate in ambiguity, standardize data, and apply automation or AI tools to accounting workflows.
• Experience collaborating with AR/Billing, Deal Desk, Engineering, FP&A, Revenue Operations, and Technical Accounting.
• Proficiency with NetSuite or similar enterprise ERP systems, Excel, and modern finance tools; CPA or CPC candidacy is preferred.
