Staff Accountant, Sales Accounting

Location: Tlalnepantla de Baz, Mexico; hybrid workplace

What you will do

• Lead monthly and quarterly revenue accounting close processes, including accruals, account reconciliations, system reconciliations, analytics, and reporting.
• Provide accounting guidance on revenue, e-commerce, broker commissions, customer trade spend, and other ad hoc matters.
• Partner with Sales, Finance, business units, Order to Cash, brokers, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting and process issues.
• Research accounting guidance, update policies, and analyze emerging accounting pronouncements.
• Use AI tools and challenge existing processes to improve efficiency, standardization, automation, and close timelines.
• Support additional projects and requests for the Sales Accounting group.

Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish are required.
• 2–3 years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
• Understanding of US GAAP and financial statements, with the ability to perform accounting research.
• Strong analytical, planning, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working cross-functionally and independently with strong attention to detail and data integrity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience within a multinational company; proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, Group Reporting, Power BI, or BlackLine.
• AI integration experience.
• MBA or CPA.
