Entry-Level – Global Purchasing & Supply Chain (GPSC) Rotational Program (Automotive)

Location: Hybrid; report to Warren Tech Center in Warren, Michigan at least three times per week. Rotational assignments may require domestic or international travel. The role may be eligible for relocation benefits.

What you will do

• Rotate every six months across purchasing, supply chain, logistics, and other business areas during the first two years.
• Source parts, systems, and technologies for current vehicles and future electric vehicle products.
• Partner with cross-functional teams and suppliers to balance cost, quality, timing, and innovation.
• Plan and support vehicle and propulsion production by managing demand, material changes, and parts availability.
• Support inbound and outbound logistics, including packaging, routing, and delivery-performance improvements.
• Contribute to value chain, sustainability, accessories, aftermarket, supplier resiliency, GM Energy, and new business initiatives.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in supply chain, purchasing, logistics, packaging, procurement, contract management, business, engineering, business analytics, or management information systems.
• Must graduate between December 2026 and June 2027.
• Available to work full-time, 40 hours per week, during the summer months.
• Demonstrated self-motivation, analytical ability, independent decision-making, and ability to work globally.

Nice to have

• Experience managing supplier commercial issues and assessing supplier performance.
• Experience with complex negotiations, contract law, procurement software, or databases.
• Curiosity and aptitude for applying AI-enabled tools in a business context.
