Senior Java Software Engineer

Location: Ukraine; remote or office work available

What you will do

• Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot within a microservices architecture.
• Build and integrate REST and GraphQL APIs with internal and third-party systems.
• Own end-to-end delivery, including solution design, development, integration testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Optimize SQL-heavy workflows and database interactions for performance and stability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automate software delivery processes.
• Collaborate with engineers, QAs, architects, and stakeholders while troubleshooting complex issues and performing root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Strong commercial experience with Java and the Spring ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring REST, Spring Cloud, and Spring Batch.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases and SQL-heavy applications.
• Practical experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, API integrations, Maven, JUnit, and Mockito.
• Experience with Redis and Java 21 or Java 11+ environments.
• Understanding of CI/CD practices, Agile/Scrum development, debugging, and problem-solving.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency required for communication in an international environment.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AWS services and cloud-based development.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and willingness to learn new technologies.
