Senior PHP Developer

What you will do

• Improve, refactor, and modernize an established backend system for education and child welfare management.
• Improve system performance, stability, scalability, and long-term maintainability without a full rewrite.
• Analyze and optimize database schemas, queries, indexing, and backend architecture.
• Implement reliable backend solutions using clean code principles and modern development practices.
• Collaborate with product, QA, and frontend teams to deliver robust solutions.

Requirements

• Strong expertise in PHP 8+ and modern backend development.
• Strong knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL database design, indexing, and query optimization.
• Solid AWS experience, including EC2, S3, and RDS, with knowledge of cloud best practices.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, DevOps practices, automated testing, and PHPUnit.
• Experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Jest, RESTful APIs, and GraphQL.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher for daily collaboration in an international team.
