TL;DR
Commercial Finance Analyst (Retail Finance/Excel/Power BI): Managing store sales targets, performance reporting, cost reconciliations, and impairment testing across more than 950 Trade Counters with an accent on financial modelling, KPI analysis, and stakeholder reporting. Focus on reconciling budgets, identifying risks and opportunities, automating routine finance activities, and ensuring IFRS-compliant year-end analysis.
Location: Yeovil, United Kingdom; hybrid working with up to 2 days working from home

What you will do
- Own individual store sales targets, including principle setting, modelling, approval, budget reconciliation, and maintenance in business intelligence systems.
- Report on the Store Support Programme by identifying stores, producing monthly KPI reports, and analysing trends.
- Prepare and deliver year-end impairment testing with Kingfisher, Operational Finance, and auditors in line with IFRS standards.
- Prepare month-end controllable cost reconciliations and communicate actual performance against budget.
- Identify risks and opportunities, deliver ad hoc projects, and support performance improvement across the store network.
- Drive simplification, automation, and continuous improvement across the Retail Finance function.
Requirements
- Excellent Excel modelling and data presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate, right-first-time reporting.
- Ability to build effective relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Recognised financial qualification or part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, or ACA status.
- Experience in a retail or consumer-facing business is preferred.
