Prairie Island Nuclear Engineering Intern (Nuclear Engineering)

Location: Welch, Minnesota, United States; in-person commuting to the designated work location is required under the hybrid work policy.

Salary: $21.20–$24.60 per hour

What you will do

• Support engineers with plant design changes and life cycle management plans.
• Contribute to system improvements, system health reporting, and program health reporting.
• Perform field walkdowns and support plant equipment reliability projects.
• Analyze data and recommend actions.
• Prepare engineering products, reports, and documentation with guidance from an engineering mentor.

Requirements

• Be a current sophomore-level or higher student.
• Be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing a degree in mechanical, electrical, civil, or chemical engineering.
• Be able to commute to the designated work location in person.
• Be available to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer and up to 20 hours per week during the school year.
• Start date: May 24, 2027.
