Senior Financial Accountant (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid, with at least one day per week at the Kilkenny HQ, Ireland

What you will do

• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary to senior finance management and business stakeholders.
• Coordinate external audits, including preparation and delivery of financial statements.
• Maintain internal controls and support compliance with accounting, regulatory, and statutory requirements.
• Support annual budgeting, process improvements, new systems implementations, and global finance projects.
• Collaborate with operations, product, and technology teams while coaching junior team members and overseeing direct reports where applicable.

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant with ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or ACA certification.
• Approximately five years of post-qualification experience, ideally with Big Four or Top Ten audit training.
• Strong financial and analytical acumen, commercial awareness, and experience interpreting high volumes of data.
• Excellent attention to detail, planning, organization, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across all levels of the business.
• Excellent project management skills and the ability to work within agreed timescales.

Nice to have

• Experience as an Audit Manager or Senior Manager in a Big Four firm.
• Experience with new systems implementations.
