Corporate Controller (AI)

Location: Toronto, remote

Salary: CA$170,000–CA$200,000 annually, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, general ledger management, reconciliations, and technical accounting policies.
• Lead accounting operations across accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, payroll, treasury, tax, and cash-cycle performance.
• Manage multi-entity consolidations, intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, and the legal-entity accounting framework across multiple countries.
• Build scalable internal controls, manage external audits, and prepare the business for public-company-level reporting and a potential liquidity event.
• Support M&A accounting, including diligence, purchase price allocation, and post-acquisition integration.
• Lead the accounting team, apply AI and automation to workflows, and partner with the CFO, FP&A, audit committee, and business leaders.

Requirements

• CPA designation and 15+ years of progressive accounting and controllership experience, including time in high-growth technology businesses.
• Expertise in US GAAP and working knowledge of IFRS.
• Deep experience with multinational, multi-entity structures, intercompany accounting, consolidation, and transfer pricing.
• Experience building scalable controls environments and managing AR, AP, billing, payroll, tax, treasury, and close operations.
• Hands-on M&A accounting experience, including diligence, purchase price allocation, and integration.
• Demonstrated use of AI and automation in accounting, strong data and systems literacy, operational metrics expertise, and the ability to communicate complex accounting topics clearly.
