Strategic Vendor Manager (Financial Services)

Location: London, United Kingdom. The role includes onsite vendor visits and requires the right to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of employment.

What you will do

• Own strategic relationships with global vendors, serving as the primary contact for executive communication, roadmaps, commercial oversight, and issue resolution.
• Lead business planning sessions, executive service reviews, product and change-management reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drive contract, commercial, procurement, and legal discussions, including negotiations, RFIs, KPIs, SLAs, scorecards, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Assess vendor and supply-chain risks, develop mitigation and contingency plans, and support organizational resiliency planning.
• Lead supplier due diligence, onboarding, performance management, audits, and regulatory reviews related to third-party risk.
• Develop three-to-five-year vendor strategies and roadmaps, consolidate global spend, and present recommendations to oversight committees and senior executives.

Requirements

• Senior-level experience in a global financial services organization, with strong technical, business, and functional knowledge.
• Demonstrated expertise in vendor management, strategic planning, operational risk management, regulatory requirements, and third-party oversight.
• Experience building and managing relationships with senior executives, suppliers, procurement, legal, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, numerical, presentation, communication, influencing, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Must have the right to work in the United Kingdom at the time of application and throughout employment.
