Senior Observability Architect (Kubernetes)

Location: Remote within Australia; candidates must be located in Melbourne or Sydney. Travel to meet clients may be required, up to 25%.

OTE compensation: $207,000–$256,000 annually, plus Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).

What you will do

• Own technical success for a portfolio of Grafana customers and manage their observability maturity journeys.
• Design, guide, and optimize observability solutions across modern infrastructure and application environments.
• Provide expert troubleshooting, technical reviews, health checks, root-cause analysis, and timely workarounds.
• Develop technical roadmaps, adoption plans, training sessions, workshops, documentation, guides, and tutorials.
• Build long-term relationships with engineers, SREs, architects, and other customer stakeholders.
• Represent customer needs internally and collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Engagement Managers, and account teams.

Requirements

• Must be located in Melbourne or Sydney, Australia.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes.
• 5+ years of experience in technical support, technical account management, consulting, sales engineering, or professional services within the technology industry.
• Strong understanding of observability solutions and the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written, oral, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, open source technologies, or the observability space.
• 5+ years of technical sales, TAM, or other post-sales technical experience.
• Experience connecting product usage to ROI and managing customer lifecycles.
• Experience with CRM software, ticketing systems, or programming languages.
