Portfolio Governance Lead (Telecom): Shaping enterprise investment decisions and governing portfolio, capital investment, and executive boards with an accent on strategic alignment, financial oversight, risk management, and stakeholder influence. Focus on monitoring governance health, forecasting investment benefits, driving executive decisions to completion, and improving portfolio performance across complex business areas.
Location: Newbury, United Kingdom; hybrid work with office attendance 2–3 days per week and at least 8 days per month

What you will do
- Lead Portfolio, Investment & Capital, and Executive Governance boards.
- Shape and steward the enterprise investment portfolio with Enterprise Portfolio Management, Finance, and delivery teams.
- Ensure investments align with strategic priorities, financial targets, risk appetite, and business outcomes.
- Monitor governance health, track decisions, and ensure follow-up actions are completed.
- Use data, analysis, and benefits forecasting to support investment decisions.
- Maintain governance communications and identify improvements to governance processes and portfolio performance.
Requirements
- Experience in enterprise-wide portfolio management within large, complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of capital investment governance, enterprise risk management, and portfolio delivery practices.
- Experience managing portfolio governance forums and executive boards.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Commercial awareness, financial acumen, and understanding of investment priorities and value drivers.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, strategic thinking, and a collaborative approach.
