Programme Manager (Defence)

Location: Portsmouth, Chippenham, Stevenage or Newport, South Wales, United Kingdom, with some hybrid working available subject to the hybrid working policy.

What you will do

• Lead multi-function project teams delivering the Ground Segment Programme on quality, on time and on cost.
• Oversee programme execution through integrated planning, scope baselining, change control and comprehensive reporting.
• Manage the programme budget and expenditure against the allocated budget.
• Direct personnel and resource management, including the PMO and up to four Project Managers.
• Build relationships with military and government stakeholders and drive cross-functional synergies.
• Identify root causes of non-quality issues, lead resolution and embed continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must have or be able to obtain SC Security Clearance.
• Experience managing programmes in complex defence or communications environments.
• Expertise in integrated planning, scope management and schedule management.
• Experience directing PMO structures, leading teams and managing stakeholders, including military or government customers.
• Experience with large-scale budget management and strong financial acumen.
• Commitment to ethical conduct and compliance with business management systems, health and safety regulations and applicable policies.
