Intern - Software Developer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid in Ottawa, Canada, with three days per week in the office. The internship lasts 8 months and starts on January 4, 2027. No relocation.

Salary: CAD 23.00–28.00 per hour.

What you will do

• Design and develop new features in Go and other programming languages.
• Build a plugin-based system integrating with third-party and open-source technologies, and support an SDK for partner-developed plugins.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines that deliver tested software to Docker containers, Kubernetes, AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Implement security features used by consumers, retailers, banks, and national governments.
• Collaborate with sales, support, product development, and professional services teams.
• Use AI models, agents, and tools to accelerate software development within a secure lifecycle.

Requirements

• Enrollment in an undergraduate Computer Science program with at least two years of completed coursework.
• Comfortable working with two or more programming languages.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, planning, and verbal and written communication.
• Ability to be located in Ottawa and work a hybrid schedule with three office days per week.
• Provide the last completed year of study and GPA.

Nice to have

• Previous software development work terms or relevant projects.
• Knowledge of React, Vite, OpenAPI, Angular, Spring Boot, or similar frameworks.
• Experience managing, building, and testing software.
• Experience developing with AI assistance or implementing AI-based solutions.
• Comfort developing on Linux or macOS.
