Product Cybersecurity Specialist Intern (Cybersecurity)

Location: Montreal (St. Laurent), Canada; internship carried out in hybrid mode.

What you will do

• Analyze product specifications and assess security risks for training products.
• Implement security measures and data recovery plans.
• Install, configure, test, and upgrade security software in a product laboratory.
• Secure networks using firewalls, password protection, and related controls.
• Inspect hardware for vulnerable access points and contribute to technological monitoring.

Requirements

• Student status is required: pursuing a college diploma or university degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related program.
• Knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of network products such as Cisco.
• Knowledge of vulnerability identification and log aggregation tools, such as Rapid7 InsightVM, Kiwi Syslog, or Splunk.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
• Must be legally entitled to work in Canada and meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of ISO 27001/27002, ITIL, and COBIT frameworks and standards.
• Knowledge of distributed-system paradigms and real-time systems.
