FPSO Topsides Structure and Weight Control Engineer (FPSO)

Location: Resident position in Paris, France, initially for approximately 1–2 years, followed by potential assignments in Singapore and Geoje, South Korea. Frequent international relocation and missions may be required.

Duration: Initial 12-month assignment, renewable; potential overall assignment of up to 4 years.

What you will do

• Monitor and validate topside structural design and weight control activities performed by contractors and vendors.
• Ensure topside weight and centre-of-gravity evolution remains within marine and structural constraints.
• Review structural drawings, calculation notes, finite element analyses, lifting studies, and marine operation reports.
• Track weight data and centre-of-gravity changes using dedicated weight control tools and registers.
• Coordinate with structural, process, layout, piping, marine, and other engineering disciplines.
• Support design reviews, HAZID and HAZOP sessions, constructability reviews, deviation management, and HSE compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–10 years of experience in offshore structural engineering.
• Experience with FPSO topside design and weight control, preferably in a client-side EPSCC project environment.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and dedicated weight control systems.
• Knowledge of API, Eurocodes, ISO standards, and marine classification rules.
• Fluent English and willingness to undertake frequent international missions and relocations.
