Senior Software Engineer (Java)

Location: Kraków, Poland; based in the Kraków office

What you will do

• Lead technical design and architecture for scalable, maintainable Java features and services.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Build greenfield Java backend projects for a distributed, high-availability backup platform.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, Support, and Operations to resolve issues and deliver improvements.
• Maintain code quality through documentation, code reviews, and architectural improvements.
• Mentor developers and act as a technical authority while ensuring reliability, observability, and scalability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend Java development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot, RESTful API design, and service-oriented architecture.
• Experience with Keycloak and a solid understanding of authentication and authorization systems.
• Strong SQL and relational database knowledge.
• Experience with Docker, containerized solutions, event-driven architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
• English is the primary working language; submit the CV in English.
