Java Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid working from Warsaw or Kraków, Poland

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and microservices.
• Deliver new features and enhance existing systems.
• Deploy software to production and ensure reliability, performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineers, analysts, designers, and Product Managers.
• Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Share knowledge and support the development of the engineering team.

Requirements

• Around 5 years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong Java development experience and hands-on microservices experience.
• Practical knowledge of Apache Kafka and REST APIs.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as GCP.
• Knowledge of Git, Maven or Gradle, Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD practices.
• English proficiency at B2/C1 level or higher, plus an ownership mindset and experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, analytical thinking, and a focus on quality and results.
