Software Test Engineer (Medical Devices)

Location: London, UK; at least 4 days per week onsite at the Kings Cross offices, with one flexible work-from-home day

Salary: £75K–£100K plus equity

What you will do

• Build compliance-as-code workflows that map verification evidence to regulatory standards and generate evidence automatically.
• Own test plans, protocols, and execution reports for medical device software.
• Lead formal software verification and validation for products and internal tools.
• Advance test automation, CI/CD pipelines, new testing techniques, and LLM-assisted quality gates.
• Test multitasking systems and signal-processing applications on real hardware with systems engineers.
• Contribute across the full Software Development Life Cycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software testing experience, particularly with complex or safety-critical systems.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Experience in highly regulated industries, preferably medical device development.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD, test automation, and build systems.
• Hands-on experience with Test-Driven Development and Behaviour-Driven Development.
• Ability to work from the London office at least four days per week.
