Senior Engineer QA

Location: Toronto, Canada; hybrid schedule with in-office work required on Wednesdays and Thursdays

Salary: CAD 100,900–131,100 annually, plus variable compensation including short-term and long-term incentives.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test infrastructure for hardware products and associated embedded firmware.
• Architect test frameworks and tools and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, performance, and system-level testing across firmware, hardware interactions, and application software.
• Collaborate with embedded software engineers to improve code testability and define testable interfaces and mock layers.
• Participate in Agile planning, code reviews, and design discussions to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Document testing patterns, test plans, test cases, bugs, and research findings; coach peers and represent QA in cross-functional discussions.

Requirements

• Strong software development and design skills for building test automation infrastructure.
• Strong coding skills in Python, C, or C++.
• Experience with embedded firmware and software testing techniques, methodologies, and tools.
• Experience with Selenium, Robot Framework, or similar testing frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions and container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of electronic design, PCB layouts, and networking protocols including BLE and Wi-Fi.
