Legal Counsel (Commercial Law)

Location: Remote, based in the United Kingdom; York is specified as the role location. Travel required up to 25%.

What you will do

• Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of commercial contracts across Pall business units in EMEA, including sales, service, distribution, licensing, manufacturing, procurement, and technology agreements.
• Partner with business, engineering, operations, and procurement teams to translate technical and commercial requirements into effective contractual terms.
• Advise internal stakeholders and senior business leaders on legal risks, company policies, strategic initiatives, and practical mitigation strategies.
• Deliver legal training and communications, support Legal Reviewers, and manage changes to contract review processes.
• Support claims, litigation, high-value transactions, complex risk scenarios, disputes, and global legal and compliance initiatives.
• Develop contract templates, training materials, internal controls, and digital tools to improve legal service delivery.

Requirements

• Qualification to practice law in the United Kingdom with proven experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts.
• Significant in-house legal experience in a multinational or complex business environment.
• Strong commercial law expertise, including complex contract negotiation, risk assessment, and commercial strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, including the ability to advise senior business leaders.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and drive process improvement initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience in manufacturing or the industrial sector.
• Knowledge of data protection law and best practices in the use of AI.
• Experience improving systems and processes for efficient legal service delivery.
• Knowledge and experience in EU law.
• French, Italian, and/or Spanish language skills.
