Senior Application and Operation Support Engineer

Location: Warsaw, Gdynia, or Łódź, Poland; hybrid mode with 25% remote and 75% on-site work

Rate: Up to 105 PLN per hour, B2B

What you will do

• Own production incident management from alert and diagnosis through root-cause analysis and preventive actions.
• Monitor service health, investigate anomalies, and support stable production and pre-production environments.
• Execute and oversee deployments through CI/CD pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and coordinate rollbacks.
• Improve observability through dashboards, alerts, and log queries, while contributing to automation and disaster recovery drills.
• Document operational procedures, known issues, and resolution steps.
• Collaborate with development and platform teams to resolve incidents and improve operational requirements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT operations, L2/L3 application support, or a similar production-facing role.
• 2+ years of experience working with ITIL incident, problem, and change management.
• Experience owning incidents end to end, working in Agile delivery environments, and collaborating with development teams.
• Advanced English communication skills for explaining technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Splunk, Apica, Sysdig, Prometheus, and Grafana for log analysis, alerting, and observability.
• Practical knowledge of Kubernetes, Linux CLI, Jenkins, Git, Oracle, DB2, Spring/Hibernate, Kafka, and XML/JSON payloads.

Nice to have

• Experience with Helm deployments and IBM DataStage operations.
• Java/J2EE development background for reading stack traces and collaborating with developers.
• Bash or Python scripting skills for operational automation.
• Ansible knowledge for controlled configuration changes.
