Linux Engineer

Location: Warsaw, Poland. Hybrid 70/30 work model with 70% of work performed in the office.

What you will do

• Own, design, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise Linux systems across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Support research and production operations across Amazon Linux, Ubuntu, and RHEL platforms.
• Perform root cause analysis and advanced troubleshooting across system, network, performance, and authentication layers.
• Automate infrastructure operations with shell scripting, Ansible, Python, Terraform, and infrastructure-as-code frameworks.
• Integrate Linux systems with Active Directory and configure Kerberos, LDAP, NSS, PAM, TLS/SSL, keytabs, and SPNs.
• Support containers, storage, observability, security compliance, documentation, operational readiness, and on-call incident response.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional Linux experience in a mixed operating system environment.
• Strong knowledge of multiple Linux distributions and core services and daemons.
• Experience troubleshooting system, network, and performance issues.
• Experience with patch management, endpoint protection, compliance, server hardening, hybrid multi-cloud, and virtualization.
• English application and English resume/CV required.

Nice to have

• Linux certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, LFCS, LFCE, or LPIC.
• AWS, CISSP, CISM, or ITIL certifications.
• Experience in regulated or security-sensitive environments, including GxP, DISA-STIG, CIS, or PCI.
• Ability to develop long-term strategic enterprise infrastructure goals.
