Lead Developer (Backend/Fullstack)

Location: Bengaluru; hybrid work with in-person responsibilities at an assigned hirify.global office at least two days per week.

What you will do

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of backend and full-stack applications using cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.
• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solution designs, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and release management.
• Own feature delivery from estimation through deployment while managing dependencies, risks, branch integration, and merge activities.
• Drive security, code quality, vulnerability management, automated testing, maintainability, and production readiness.
• Resolve production issues, perform root-cause analysis, improve platform reliability, mentor engineers, and support technical documentation and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of professional software development experience, including technical leadership of enterprise-scale applications and complex initiatives in Agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC, Scrum or Kanban, system architecture, and distributed systems design.
• Experience leading end-to-end feature delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing technical dependencies, and driving engineering execution.
• Experience with secure software development, performance optimization, and operational support for business-critical applications.
• Ability to mentor engineers, lead architecture discussions, and influence engineering practices across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent industry experience with demonstrated technical leadership is also considered.
