What you will do
- Coordinate monthly and emergency Unix/Linux patch implementation activities across the enterprise environment.
- Plan patching schedules, maintain implementation calendars, and manage change requests, outage windows, approvals, and bridge calls.
- Track patch outcomes, vulnerability remediation, compliance status, exceptions, and follow-up actions.
- Prepare operational reports, dashboards, charts, presentations, audit evidence, and leadership updates.
- Coordinate server onboarding into the CVPI patching service, validating ownership, tooling, inventory, and patch readiness.
- Support patch automation, operational tracking, and continuous improvement using platforms such as BigFix and Red Hat Satellite.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in IT services, infrastructure support, or enterprise operations.
- At least 2 years of experience with ITIL processes, service management, vulnerability management, and patch management.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, dashboards, data analysis, and reporting.
- Basic understanding of Unix/Linux operating systems, distributions, and version management.
- Experience with change management, service delivery, operational tracking, documentation, reporting, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, presentation, and written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to have
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar IT service management platforms.
- Experience in change management, project coordination, or service management functions.
- Exposure to enterprise Unix/Linux administration and infrastructure support.
- Knowledge of vulnerability remediation, compliance tracking, patch governance, and automation tools.
- ITIL Foundation or Linux/Unix certifications.
