Senior Electronic Hardware Engineer (Satellite Communications)

Location: Lausanne, Switzerland; onsite presence required at least 3 days per week. Swiss or EU citizenship required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, optimize, and integrate reliable analog and mixed-signal electronics for phased array antennas.
• Own the full development cycle of electronic boards, including requirements, architecture, circuit design, component selection, PCB design, board bring-up, testing, and production release.
• Develop low-voltage, high-current power electronics with low-noise and transient robustness requirements.
• Prepare design, manufacturing, verification, and maintenance documentation.
• Collaborate with system, RF, mechanical, software, and external engineering experts.
• Support the transfer of products into production and resolve field issues.

Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in hardware or electrical engineering in demanding or regulated environments such as airborne, space, automotive, or medical.
• Experience with digital electronics, high-speed interfaces, schematics, layout, simulation, prototype bring-up, design verification, and production documentation.
• Practical experience with laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and vector network analyzers.
• Knowledge of Quality by Design and Design for Manufacturing, Assembly, Testing, and Maintenance.
• Clear written and spoken English communication skills.
• Swiss or EU citizenship and regular onsite work in Lausanne are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Altium365 schematic design and PCB layout.
• Experience co-designing with mechanical engineers using SolidWorks.
• Experience with Ansys SIwave and LTspice.
• Experience collaborating with 20–30 GHz RF design engineers and embedded software/PL design engineers.
