What you will do

• Embed and continuously improve the Risk and Compliance Framework and three lines of defence control environment.
• Deliver annual risk and compliance monitoring and testing, oversee incident management, and manage regulatory breach reporting.
• Deputise for the CRCO with the FCA and other regulators, responding to regulatory enquiries, thematic reviews, skilled persons' reviews, and supervisory visits.
• Prepare regulatory submissions, attestations, risk indicators, emerging-regulation reports, and Board and Committee materials.
• Develop and test sanctions, anti-money laundering, anti-bribery and corruption, product governance, complaints, and customer protection frameworks.
• Support enterprise risk management through risk identification, assessment, horizon scanning, scenario analysis, stress testing, remediation, and root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Senior risk and compliance experience within the UK reinsurance or insurance sector, ideally with a reinsurance broker.
• Strong working knowledge of FCA and PRA regimes, including SM&CR.
• Experience engaging with UK, EU, and overseas regulators and with Boards.
• Experience obtaining or expanding regulatory authorisations and working with complex or multi-entity regulated groups.
• Professional compliance, legal, or risk qualifications.
• Independent judgement, effective challenge, high ethical standards, resilience, and commercial pragmatism.
