Sourcing Director, Apparel

What you will do

• Develop and implement end-to-end sourcing and supply chain strategies for apparel categories including tops, bottoms, knits, and sweater knits.
• Build a resilient multi-sourcing network and onboard manufacturing partners to the rapid-replenishment M2C and D2C operating model.
• Coach partners on operational excellence, financial performance, technical integration, and use of the Vendor Portal.
• Drive quality, speed, availability, and margin improvements, including a defect rate below 0.5%, replenishment lead time under 14 days, and in-stock rates above 95%.
• Lead catalog expansion with Merchandising and Product Development teams, including the launch of new styles and colors through the New Product Creation process.
• Conduct quarterly business reviews with manufacturing partners covering performance, improvement areas, strategic alignment, and future objectives.

Requirements

• 15+ years of director-level strategic sourcing, procurement, or supplier management experience with major US-based retailers.
• Strong global factory relationships across woven, knit, and sweater-knit categories, including APAC, IST, and EMEA.
• Experience using factory and vendor expertise for product design, cost engineering, and commercialization, with strong knowledge of regional materials.
• Supply chain and manufacturing experience, including lean and just-in-time operations, cost analysis, clean-sheet costing, and negotiation.
• Highly organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and focused on execution, problem-solving, process improvement, and brand enhancement.
• Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, technology, and AI skills, with a proactive and curious approach.
