Software Engineer - Cloud, Identity Protection (Hybrid, ISR) (Cybersecurity)

Location: Hybrid role based in the Tel Aviv/Ramat-Gan, Israel office

Cybersecurity company building an AI-native platform that protects organizations from breaches and processes large-scale security telemetry.

What you will do

• Design and implement real-time identity threat detection rules and pipelines over high-throughput Kafka streams.
• Build a pluggable detection engine and rule framework that converts authentication telemetry into enriched customer-facing alerts.
• Develop machine-learning and behavioral-anomaly models, including LLM-based detection reasoning and AI-driven severity scoring.
• Translate security research into production-grade detections for Active Directory attacks, credential theft, and lateral movement.
• Own production detections, including observability, latency SLOs, feature-flag-gated rollouts, and incident response.
• Develop across Python, Go, and Java services in a cloud-native, event-streaming architecture.

Requirements

• Mastery of Python, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
• 6+ years of experience building backend or distributed systems at scale.
• Hands-on experience with event-streaming or message-queue architectures such as Kafka.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis, and distributed data processing.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to work from the Israel office in a hybrid setup with strong leadership presence and close cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go and high-performance streaming services.
• Security or detection engineering background.
• Experience with machine learning for anomaly detection or applied LLM/GenAI.
