Detection Software Engineer (Cloud Security)

What you will do

• Develop and extend the Wiz Runtime Sensor and its runtime security capabilities.
• Research, design, and implement new threat detection capabilities in collaboration with engineering and threat research.
• Build research infrastructure, automated testing infrastructure, and release processes.
• Analyze, debug, and solve issues across test, staging, and production environments.
• Create and enforce security engineering best practices and policies.
• Respond to customer requests and questions when needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years developing cloud-based software.
• Knowledge of cloud services, Kubernetes, cloud environment architecture, and AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Deep understanding of Windows/Linux operating system internals and networking.
• Experience delivering customer-impacting products and working independently in a goal-oriented environment.
• Applicants must have the legal right to work in Israel without visa sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with runtime security products, detection engineering, malware analysis, reverse engineering, or vulnerability research.
• Threat actor knowledge, threat intelligence analysis, incident response, red teaming, or threat hunting experience.
• Experience with Python, PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Terraform, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
