Detection Software Engineer

TL;DR

Detection Software Engineer: Developing and optimizing a world-class runtime security solution for large cloud workloads with an accent on enabling new and better threat detection capabilities. Focus on building research infrastructure, automated testing, and release processes, while conducting research for new detection capabilities from concept to implementation.

Location: Must be based in Tel Aviv, Israel and have the legal right to work in the country without visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Work on a world-class runtime security solution for large cloud workloads.
• Collaborate with engineering and research to enable new threat detection capabilities.
• Build and extend research, automated testing, and release infrastructure.
• Conduct research and develop new detection capabilities from concept to implementation.
• Analyze, debug, and solve problems across test, staging, and production environments.
• Create and enforce best practices and security policies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in cloud-based development, including cloud services, Kubernetes, and major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Deep knowledge of OS internals (Windows/Linux) and networking.
• Experience delivering real-world impact on products affecting customers.
• Ability to learn independently, be self-driven, and goal-oriented.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with runtime security products.
• Hands-on experience in detection engineering, malware analysis, reverse engineering, or vulnerability research.
• Familiarity with notable threat actors and threat intelligence analysis.
• IR/red-team/threat-hunting experience.
• Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Terraform, CircleCI, Github Actions.
