Lead Software Engineer (Industrial AI)

Location: Hybrid role in Herzliya or Caesarea, Israel, with one day per week from home

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain core components of an Industrial AI platform.
• Write production-quality Python code and implement critical software components.
• Lead complex features and technical solutions from design through delivery.
• Shape software architecture, technology direction, design reviews, and engineering standards.
• Integrate AI capabilities with software products in collaboration with AI and Data Science teams.
• Work with Edge, Cloud, and DevOps teams to support distributed industrial systems, deployments, scalability, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong software engineering, technical leadership, system design, and architecture experience.
• Significant hands-on development experience with Python.
• Experience with distributed systems, scalable application design, AWS, Docker, and containerized applications.
• Experience with Edge-to-Cloud architectures, industrial connectivity, and industrial systems.
• Experience with at least one of OPC UA, PLCs, or SCADA.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS SageMaker, S3, or AWS IoT Greengrass.
• Industrial IoT, manufacturing, operational technology, or other industrial environment experience.
• Experience integrating software platforms with AI/ML solutions.
• Experience with MongoDB, CI/CD pipelines, and real-time or near-real-time data processing.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills and experience in multidisciplinary collaboration.
