Power Engineering Intern (Electric Power Systems)

Salary: $24.25–$33.00 per hour

What you will do

• Provide technical support to SEL staff and customers.
• Perform testing on new and existing electric power technologies.
• Document and communicate test results.
• Develop knowledge of SEL processes and technologies.
• Apply SEL values, operational principles, and manufacturing principles.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Computer Engineering.
• Junior standing or higher in the academic program.
• Ability to use Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Visio.
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills, assume new responsibilities, and work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Satisfactory background check and negative drug test results.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of electric power systems and computer network fundamentals.
• Practical knowledge of SEL protective relays and automation controllers.
• Experience with programming and script files.
