Lead Developer, C# .NET & APIs

Location: Pune, India. Hybrid position with at least two days per week in an assigned hirify.global office and the remaining responsibilities performed virtually.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership while actively designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise backend applications and services.
• Build scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for large-scale data processing and customer-facing products.
• Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Improve software quality through automated testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and Agile Scrum delivery practices.
• Participate in architecture decisions, performance optimization, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers and contribute to planning, estimation, backlog refinement, and releases.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience building and supporting enterprise applications, with strong backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C#, .NET Framework or .NET Core, object-oriented programming, software design patterns, data structures, algorithms, and application architecture.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs and web services.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases, preferably SQL Server, including data access and performance tuning.
• Experience with Git, collaborative code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Experience building and deploying containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of SOAP, enterprise integrations, large-scale data processing, and high-volume transactional applications.
• Familiarity with observability, application performance monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
