Staff System Engineer (AI)

Location: Bengaluru, India; hybrid work model

What you will do

• Build and maintain a modern, responsive, high-performance agentic operations platform.
• Design, develop, fine-tune, and optimize small language models for domain-specific and enterprise applications.
• Build inference pipelines, evaluate model performance, and optimize models for low-latency inference and edge deployments.
• Develop scalable RESTful APIs and backend services, including secure third-party integrations.
• Design and maintain relational and NoSQL databases while implementing authentication and authorization.
• Improve availability, fault tolerance, monitoring, documentation, experiment tracking, and model governance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree with 7+ years of total experience.
• Strong Python, React, Node, Next.js, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend framework skills.
• Experience with component lifecycle, hooks, state management, Git, REST APIs, Webpack, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of API design, data modelling, error handling, and monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Expertise in Ansible, Terraform, shell scripting, and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, India.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS, configuration management, and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ or Kafka, Docker, and API tools.
