What you will do
- Develop, enhance, test, and maintain enterprise mainframe applications for card management and payment processing.
- Translate technical and functional designs into scalable, maintainable COBOL and JCL code.
- Design unit tests, troubleshoot production issues, and resolve defects within service-level expectations.
- Collaborate with business, product, quality assurance, and engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, documentation, and solution reviews.
- Support modernization, regulatory, security, compliance, performance, and operational stability initiatives.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience developing and supporting enterprise mainframe applications.
- Strong proficiency in COBOL and Job Control Language (JCL).
- Hands-on experience with IMS DB/DC, CICS, VSAM, IMS, DB2, and MQ Series.
- Experience with File-Aid, InSync, Xpediter, and Endevor development or debugging tools.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle practices, testing methodologies, and change management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with HP JCL environments and Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Background in card payments, debit processing, financial services, reconciliation, or settlement systems.
- Experience with API integration, legacy system transformation, compliance, security remediation, or vulnerability management.
