What you will do
- Manage external contract lobbyists across an assigned regional portfolio, including expectations, deliverables, check-ins, and performance assessments.
- Translate corporate policy positions and lobbying strategy into state-specific advocacy messaging.
- Build relationships with state legislators, committee staff, attorneys general offices, and gaming and consumer protection regulators.
- Coordinate cross-regional strategy sessions, messaging, field intelligence, and multi-state legislative campaigns.
- Represent at hearings, fundraisers, conferences, and stakeholder engagements.
- Track active and emerging legislation affecting social gaming, sweepstakes, consumer protection, age verification, and advertising.
Requirements
- 7–12+ years of experience in state government, state-level lobbying, legislative affairs, or political campaigns.
- Direct experience with multiple state legislatures or regulatory agencies in B2C organizations.
- Experience managing external vendors, consultants, or contract lobbyists against defined deliverables and performance standards.
- Knowledge of gaming regulation, sweepstakes law, consumer protection, or related policy areas.
- Strong political credibility and established relationships with government officials in the assigned regional portfolio.
- Experience in multi-state lobbying within technology, fintech, real-money gaming, or gaming organizations, plus proficiency with legislative tracking tools.
