Electrical System Digital Transformation Placement (12 months)

What you will do

• Support the implementation of digital solutions for monitoring and optimizing electrical-system performance.
• Collect and analyze electrical-system data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Work with security specialists to protect digital solutions and data transmission in line with industry standards.
• Research developments in electrical engineering and digital technologies and propose improvement ideas.
• Test and troubleshoot digital solutions, maintaining documentation of designs, implementations, and testing procedures.
• Collaborate with software engineers, data analysts, electrical technicians, and management on integration, reporting, and project updates.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a relevant Bachelor's degree for the entire placement and provide the expected graduation date.
• Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related degree.
• Understanding of electrical systems, principles, and components.
• Basic knowledge of digital technologies, IoT, and data analysis.
• Analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, self-motivation, and initiative skills.
• Successful candidates will undergo BPSS screening and may require UK SC-level security clearance or export-control approval, depending on the role.

Nice to have

• Programming experience with Python, C++, or Java.
