What you will do

• Advise Signature Research Area leads and University Research Centre Directors on engagement strategy, partnership development, and co-design practice.
• Embed theory of change and implementation-informed approaches into research engagement and impact planning.
• Build and steward long-term relationships with industry, funders, government, civil society, international partners, communities, and iwi.
• Connect external stakeholders with relevant university expertise and applied innovation capabilities.
• Identify opportunities to raise the profile of research through strategic engagement, thought leadership, stakeholder events, and communications.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification aligned with a Signature Research Area or equivalent professional expertise in a relevant research domain.
• Experience in research engagement, research partnerships, strategic stakeholder engagement, knowledge mobilisation, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success building and sustaining trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong facilitation, communication, influencing, initiative, judgement, and autonomous-working skills.
• Ability to engage credibly with researchers, senior leaders, industry, government, and community partners.

Nice to have

• Expertise or experience aligned with one of the University's Signature Research Areas: Frontier Technologies, Ancestral Futures, Blue Pacific Horizons, or The Energy Movement.
