Senior Research Scientist (AI & Geomodelling)

What you will do

• Research, prototype, and validate new geological modelling algorithms and workflows.
• Advance hirify.global Labs research in geomodelling, artificial intelligence, analytics, and computing.
• Drive innovation and best practices across multiple research areas and projects.
• Develop benchmarks and case studies, and communicate research findings to stakeholders and customers.
• Collaborate with universities, research programmes, academic and industry partners, and technical committees.
• Present research through customer engagements, conferences, publications, and industry working groups; travel occasionally.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in similar roles, including professional industry experience outside academia.
• Master’s degree with extensive domain experience or a PhD with several years of relevant experience.
• Extensive experience in geosciences, such as geochemistry, structural geology, prospectivity, exploration geology, mining geology, or geological modelling.
• Extensive quantitative expertise in numerical analysis, optimization, probabilistic methods, and artificial intelligence and machine learning.
• Strong planning, coordination, problem-solving, growth mindset, and stakeholder management skills.
• Business-oriented approach with the ability to influence and contribute to product strategy.
