Associate Test Engineer (Semiconductor)

Location: Batu Kawan, Malaysia; onsite at the Penang SDSM Office

What you will do

• Own and sustain burn-in manufacturing processes to maintain stable production performance.
• Monitor process health, yield trends, uptime, and quality indicators.
• Analyze yield excursions, failures, and process deviations using data-driven methods.
• Lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support production issue resolution, lot disposition, abnormal-event recovery, and new product qualification.
• Prepare SOPs, OCAPs, FMEA, control plans, and engineering documentation while supporting audits and quality reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electronics, engineering, or applied physics.
• One to two years of semiconductor testing or product engineering experience; new college graduates are welcome.
• Understanding of semiconductor test processes and manufacturing flow.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis and data analysis tools.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, organizational, teamwork, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with memory and storage products such as SSD, NAND, DRAM, or USB.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification and knowledge of DMAIC, 8D, FMEA, and Lean principles.
• Experience with SPC, SBL, SYL, JMP, Minitab, Python, SQL, Java, ASP.NET C#, or data analytics tools.
• Experience supporting automotive or other high-reliability products.
