Business Analyst

Location: Washington, DC; U.S. citizenship required for DHS Suitability clearance

Salary: $100,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Collaborate with business leaders, project managers, technical teams, and end-users to elicit, document, and prioritize requirements.
• Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Create business requirements documents, process maps, user stories, and functional specifications.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical specifications and support solution design.
• Communicate project progress, manage stakeholder expectations, and support project planning and reporting.
• Develop test cases, perform user acceptance testing, validate deliverables, and coordinate with QA.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required for DHS Suitability clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering, process modeling, data analysis, and business analysis techniques.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel, Visio, JIRA, Confluence, Agile methodologies, and project management practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, documentation, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with database systems and SQL querying.
