Legal Business Partner, EMEA (Fintech)

Location: Remote, Europe; the role can be based anywhere in the region

What you will do

• Act as the primary legal counterpart for commercial, partnerships, and operations teams across EMEA.
• Draft and negotiate merchant, partner, and vendor agreements.
• Advise on payments regulation and data protection, including GDPR.
• Support corporate maintenance of regional entities with external counsel and corporate service providers.
• Provide legal guidance for new markets, products, and strategic partnerships.

Requirements

• Law degree and qualification in at least one jurisdiction within the region.
• 6–8 years of experience across law firm and in-house roles.
• Strong commercial contracts and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with European payments regulation and GDPR.
• Practical, business-oriented approach to legal risk and advice.
• Fluent English required; the role is remote within Europe and involves working across time zones.

Nice to have

• Experience in payments, fintech, or technology.
• Exposure to the Middle East or Asia.
• Knowledge of additional regional languages.
