Engineering Manager

Location: Hybrid or remote in the United States, with offices in New York City and San Francisco

Salary: $241.5K–$284K annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead 4+ engineers across one or more engineering teams.
• Partner with product managers, designers, and operations to execute R&D strategy and solve business problems affecting homeowners.
• Build, develop, mentor, and empower high-performing engineering teams.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through coding, architecture design, and engineering guidance.
• Define processes, drive continuous improvement, and use data-driven decisions to improve team effectiveness.
• Partner with engineering leaders to shape company-wide engineering culture and direction.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience as a tech lead or in engineering management preferred.
• Demonstrated experience building and empowering long-lasting teams.
• Experience working in complex technical environments and fast-paced startup settings.
• Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to provide inventive resource planning and maximize business impact.
